Returns Policy

At Running Bare, we are happy to offer returns on most full-priced and sale items if returned within 14 days of purchase and in accordance with the conditions of return outlined below. Before returning an item, please check the return options available for full-priced/sale purchases and your payment type.

To make Christmas gifting easy, items purchased in December 2021 can be returned until Friday14th January 2022, in accordance with the conditions of our return policy detailed below.

Conditions of Return

Items are returned in accordance with eligibility outlined below:

  • Proof of purchase and a completed returns form is included with the merchandise
  • Items are in their original condition, with no sign of wear, and with all swing tags and hygiene stickers attached. Signs of wear includes, but is not limited to: strong perfume, cigarette smells, or body odour; rips, tears, stains or pet hair; missing or damaged product tags.
  • Terms and conditions of any promotional offers received at the time of purchase will be carried over.
  • Items purchased from Running Bare retail boutiques must be returned in-store and cannot be returned to the online warehouse.
  • Items purchased from other retailers must be returned to the place of purchase.

Returns that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted and may be returned to you at your cost.

Returns Eligibility

Our return policy is dependent on the purchase type and payment method. Below is a summary of our current return and exchange policy, see details following for exceptions and specifics.

Full-priced or Promotional Event purchases

We are happy to provide a refund, credit voucher or exchange on any full-priced purchases including full-priced items purchased using a promotional discount, provided goods are returned in accordance with the conditions of return. Refunds are processed directly back to the original payment type and may take up to 3-5 days to be processed by your financial institution. Exchanges are available on domestic orders only and can be of an equal or lesser value. International returns will be automatically refunded/credited in accordance with our returns policy. In instances where your return invalidates the promotional terms and conditions of the original purchase, the promotional discount/offer will be voided and deducted from your return/refund value.

Products purchased on sale

Sale items are not eligible for refund or exchange, however we are happy to provide a credit voucher valid for twelve months, provided goods are returned in accordance with conditions of return. SALE items are identified by a grey SALE tag on product and category pages. Items marked as FINAL SALE cannot be returned for refund, credit or exchange.


Refunds can be provided for return of any full-priced or promotional purchase, provided returns are made in accordance with the conditions outlined above. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds on sale purchases.


Exchanges can be made on full priced items and items purchased using a limited promotional offer. Exchanges can be made for items of an equal or lesser value only. If your exchange request invalidates promotional terms and conditions of the original purchase, the promotional discount/offer will be voided and balance owed will be deducted/charged to your exchange value accordingly. 

Sale purchases, and orders delivering outside of Australia and New Zealand, cannot be exchanged. 

Paypal/Afterpay Purchases

Unfortunately we are unable to exchanges item purchased made using Afterpay or Paypal. Items eligible for a refund will be refunded back to the nominated payment platform, otherwise a credit voucher will be issued.

Exceptions to Our Returns Policy

  • Swimwear - swimwear must be tried on wearing full briefs and returns will only be accepted where the hygiene label and swing tags are still intact.
  • Final Sale - cannot be returned. FINAL SALE items are identified by a FINAL SALE tag on product and category pages, and are noted on your order confirmation.
  • Pre-packaged gift boxes- cannot be returned.
  • Gift wrapping - non-refundable

Returning Online Orders

Running Bare online purchases can be returned to any Running Bare boutique, provided the conditions of return are met and proof of purchase is presented. Alternatively, you can return directly to our online warehouse as follows: 

  • Returns must be made within 14 days
  • All items must be packaged neatly in accordance with the conditions of return outlined above. Return goods that do not meet the conditions of return will not be accepted and may be returned to you at your own cost.

We do not offer a return service, customers are responsible for shipping costs to return goods to us unless the goods are deemed to be faulty. We recommend using trackable postage services as Running Bare are not responsible for goods lost/damaged in transit.

International Returns

Return of items delivered outside of Australia and New Zealand must be made within 21 days; unfortunately, we cannot offer exchanges on international returns. We recommend that you re-purchase the desired size/colour online and return the unwanted item to us for a refund/credit.  Credit vouchers cannot be issued for purchases made in USD or GBP: eligible returns of purchases made in these currencies will automatically be refunded. Shipping costs, including duties or taxes levied by your country, cannot be reimbursed by Running Bare. Please contact your local Customs government department for details of how to recover these costs.

Faulty Items

Running Bare prides itself on our superior quality products, and we want your experience to meet these expectations. Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged, or where a manufacturing flaw occurs within a reasonable time frame, subject to proof of purchase. Personal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing flaw, legitimate manufacturing flaws will usually become apparent within the first couple of wears. If you believe that a purchased item has a manufacturing fault, please contact our customer service team at [email protected] and provide the following information:

  • Your online order number
  • Product name/code
  • Photos and an explanation of the issue.

Running Bare are happy to provide a paid postage label to return faulty goods: we cannot reimburse postage costs paid to a third party for return. Once a suspected faulty item has been received, our quality control team will assess the garment, and if it is deemed to be faulty we will gladly organise a repair, replacement or refund, at our discretion. As part of our sustainability policy, if a garment is deemed to have a minor fault, we will prioritise repair wherever possible.
