This year I’ve experienced & learnt more than I ever have before in my life. One of the major lessons I have learnt is about hard work and empowering yourself by having the right mentality to do so. I am super keen to share a secret to help you guys get on this too.

For those of you who don’t know, I am a bit of a Gypsy. I like my yoga, my health food, my sport, my zen-time and I’m pretty hard to pin down sometimes. I love to be able to throw a bunch of things in my car or jump on a plane and just go anywhere, at anytime. How do we achieve this stealth? For me, it all starts with wardrobe.

We put so much thought into our day-to-day attire (Clothing Lovers; I know you understand me here), and this dramatically affects mood, serotonin levels and overall how the day ends up panning out. So the best method of attack: Out with the old, to make space for the new.

TIPS FOR CREATING THE ULTIMATE SUMMER WORKOUT WARDROBE

  • Clear out the clutter: If you haven't worn it for ages, it’s damaged, doesn’t quite fit or doesn’t make you feel amazing - get rid of it! Consider selling it, giving it to charity, or bin it!

  • Create a capsule: Look at what’s left - your core wardrobe should include a classic black pair of leggings and other mix and match monochrome pieces you can pair with whats in for the season. (Check out RB's other blogs & website for this one)

  • Know your style: What pieces in your wardrobe amplify 'you'? Personally I am very active, henceforth a huge portion of my wardrobe is new season activewear.

  • Have your things sectioned: Basics, prints, block colours, textured items. This will make it easier when you are creating & layering your outfits.

  • Organise your hangers: I only have one type of hanger in my wardrobe so that it starts neat and in order and keeps my attention on my clothing.

  • Show some flair: Start with the basics, then find a print and colours to pair it up. Best pieces are ones you can mix and match and wear and wear again, even if it’s laundry day you’ll always have something to wear.

We’re always somewhat un-intentionally conscious of the contents of our wardrobes all the time, so it makes sense that your mind starts to feel more clear when you clean it out. My productivity levels skyrocket every time I do this. ALSO it’s the perfect time right now for a ‘between season’ clean (Spring clean for us Aus kids), so do it for yourself.

Think of all of that extra wardrobe space for new things in your life……Maybe for some new RB attire? ;)

Until next time,
Tristyn
