It is that time of the year again when we call on all keen runners or those that just want a challenge.
Sophie Smith who started the Henry, Jasper & Evan Smith Trust Fund in memory of her triplets that were born prematurely is once again organising a team in this year’s SMH 1/2 marathon. All funds raised by the team go towards providing life-saving equipment for critically ill premature babies in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Hospital for Women. This year will be Sophie’s 5th year running the event and to date has raised $520,000 which has bought ten humidicribs and ten neo-natal monitors.
