As most fruits and vegetables are available all year round in the Western world, we often don’t think about whether or not they are in season or from where they have traveled. Choosing as much as possible local, seasonal and organic produce means that we are greatly increasing the nutrients we are consuming. I have recently moved back to my hometown of beautiful Newcastle and in summer not only does it have the most amazing beaches, but also so many great places to train. Here are my key go-to places for the zesty season.

We put so much thought into our day-to-day attire (clothing lovers; I know you understand me here), and this dramatically affects mood, serotonin levels and overall how the day ends up panning out. So the best method of attack: out with the old, to make space for the new.

‘Sound of thunder on a dark winters night echos out of a doorway not far from where I stand, the sounds of voices billowing out of the door shouting a series of numerical numbers.
